The only disadvantage is that the dual-mass design is *supposed* to eliminate any unwanted engine vibration, but considering many 2.0L Subaru's running single piece flywheels, I hardly think this will be a problem.
I was looking at replacing my clutch (has 160,000kms under its belt) and swapping the flywheel for this cheaper, lighter job, but I've bought a house so this will have to wait (or hold up) another year or two.
Hi maj,
I hope your clutch holds up for you!
Thanks for the input, I think that if there is no solid flywheel option ( my preference ) then the JUN fly looks to be a much better and cheaper option then replacing the original with another from Subaru.
The latest I heard from Exedy is that they don't make anything other then a OEM replacement clutch with a Sachs fly for our cars, even though they have a whole bunch of stuff on their website under the listing for our cars
Anyway i'll put off replacing the clutch as long as possible in hope that some better options will come up while I can still drive my car.
Thanks again for any input guys,
Monty.
