So you find the 3rb responded well to ecutek? I visited Sean last week and I'm very seriously considering getting it done on my 3rb after some mild exhaust mods. Particularly extited about tuning out the throttle hang on after changin gears (mines 6sp man).
personally & I knew before i started ..
The 3.0R was never going to respond as well ...my daily drive is an STI.. this responded awesomely to Ecutek and Seans tuning ability..
However as pointed out trying to extract power from these models is difficult at the best of times.. All i can say if you have some spare $$$ to throw at some mod's and you live in SA the Sean will warrant all his work and see you have a smile on your face..
The torque in these cars is good for a 3.0L putting it all in perspective.. Its not a huge 6 cylinder and its only half a litre bigger then a 2.5..
They are a beautiful engineered motor..
