Hmmm something definitely not right there. Were you getting your boost leak back then?

Great stuff Adam :ok:

thanks sean!
What was your 14 in? The liberty? Original engine or new one?

Yeah mate, my LGT with the new engine; on 98RON. Did it twice only 2 weeks ago (before centre diff went bye bye). Ironically, I only did two runs to "save the diff"

I'm now thinking I may have a similar issue as Mick (albeit slightly less exaggerated given my lower power and smaller turbo) as I couldn't get better than 2.3 or 2.4 60' :?

I can't shake this bad feeling that as soon as I go to the drags, my centre diff will get snapped up just like yours and J's!

Are there any centre diff upgrades we can do besides the pins?[/quote]
You mean the bushes replacing the needle roller bearings?
There's cryo-treating...J had this done and I believe Mick might have too.

Been chatting with my old man about the bushes and he thinks two brass bushes is better than just one (bearings are what he does; designs and sells).

Not that I know of; but I doubt it. I was able to hit peak boost just fine.

Big things coming for my lib in the next couple of months... might be one of the few auto 2.5Ts to go past the 200 mark on 98.
Putting on UEL headers which won't add much peak power, but will make the mid range far more exciting. Going back to a cold air intake and will hopefully learn to accept the noise. Plus 1 more surprise mod that I'm massively excited about!

I'm excited for this! Where did you source the headers?

You should prob clarify that you're talking about vf46/52 libs, cos Rome and the Dr went well over 200 with auto boxes but bigger turbos.

Have fun on the train tomorrow  it'll be worth it!

Good point... VF52 Turbo :good:
I'm getting them from prospeed racing, but have also contacted Jackson about his headers which look to be the same as prospeeds. Will depend on whether or not Jackson can do ceramic coating.

Nice! are you still running a VF52?
How's your auto box holding up? I'm probably only looking at around 215wkw and was worried about the box.

Now that my car is at process west I can say that I'm getting a verticooler. They're using my car to develop it for liberty's. On 2 separate wrx's this cooler has delivered an increase of 17kw and around 30-40nm of torque across the entire rev range... should be a great mod!!

Interesting. Im keen to see side by side comparisons in differences (performance wise). If it's as much as you say, it may be worth the investment.

Have a look at the process west website shav, they have a dyno comparison on a 2.5 wrx. Owen from revzone got the same result too.

Nice. I'll have a read. What was the price difference between the regular and the inverted one?

The same price give or take 50-100.
It performs much better than the older style top mount though so it's a no brainer which one to buy.

I'll post a graph showing difference once tuned, but that'll be a while away as MSR will tune it.

My result will be a bit off though as I'm doing headers at the same time.

That's fine. Im in no rush to purchase. Still want to sort some things out on the paint of my car first. Could be a minimum of 6months for me before I consider touching the motor again

Haha J feeling left out?

Rome - 237kw (or 250kw on full e85? stock box) - e85, bigger turbs
Dr0t - 250kw on stock box (350kw on built box) - e85, gt2871r (e85, gtx3076)
chook - 240kw (on built box iirc?) - e85, bigger turbs
J - 250kw - (built box) 98, 1.5xtr
Poida Gt 200kw (iirc) (stock box) - 98, vf52
No lag Mark - ~200kw - (built box) - 98, 3.0 H6, supercharger,
kiks - v12 twin turbo lib...
Senator - can't remember if Tony made it over 200? heard 230 once
Alexei - 290kw (stock 5eat, VB mod to handle e85 torque) - e85, 20Gxtr
Peadya - 200kw - 98, vf52

Still a pretty exclusive list. Anyone I miss?

As you can see stock 5eats, can handle their power. It's the torque that makes them slip - H6 supercharged, 2.5L e85 and big turbs - needs a VB mod for more line pressure
Running no. of weeks without breaking something in the lib: 0
No. of things still to fix in in the lib: 97

Well fingers crossed it'll be peadya100: 215-220wkw
But you never know as the liberty's have a smaller scoop so may not get the same result as wrx's.
I'm wondering if the stock fuel pump and injectors will still be OK for those mods...
How much does the valve body mod cost?
