Could be compressor surge as the AFR and vacuum are oscillating slightly at this time.

Or cam timing causing slight reversion at cruise over 70km/h but this is the second potential on the list to investigate.

FFS!! (not the flat foot shifting abbreviation either!!!)

Anyone overcome this already?

Shall I put some stock quads on to the provide some backpressure and move spool up the rpm at the expense of top end....?
This is my current thinking anyway.

You don't want to put stock quads on, your exhaust temp is going to go pretty high...

I thought your rig was already spooling very early like 2700?

Can do 20psi at 2400rpm, 24psi at 2700rpm but not set like that for longevity of trans.

The bloody thing is trying to spool at cruise according to interweb......knackers!

Thanks Chook, gonna have to commit to the 3582 earlier than ideal financially.....

Been quiet lately.......

Car is in for panel n paint tidy up.
Going all silver this time except a few parts on front bar.
Rear bar and diffuser needs to be painted anyways.....

Did some sound absorption with acoustic foam mods to the wagon hatch area.
Such a great result! Really happy with exhaust sound now.

Got some 2 piece Project Mu rotors in stock locally, if they fit they are going on. :D

Will get up some pics once all installed & back.

I can not wait either!
In preparation I have had Paul at Street to track price me up a few 'items'

Going to 5W30 next week to see if that helps the excessive oil pressure and helps transfer more heat more quickly and through the oil cooler when repeatedly into it.
Oil temps can get to 115/120 after some fun driving, but I want more resilience. I.m thinking the 5W30 will help keep the hot oil mixing in more continuously.

Putting new OCV's in as soon as they arrive too. 2 of mine are letting oil up the wiring harness......
Got 2 tiny oil weeps to sort too....

Drove past a STi hatch the other day and he had his whole front bar gone basically and HUGE front mount sitting there completely open in shiny silver. I chuckled to myself just a little!

Much prefer your sleek & subtle approach J, looks the goods :good:
