No issues for me with just one...E85 20 psi...making power, no pressure issues...bought some spare rings just in case
Speaking to Phil it sounds like there may have been different batches of pumps or rings, and a few botchy installations to boot....
Yet DW themselves tell everyone to double up. More consistent and safer. You do NOT want the O ring to push down the pump and lose pressure by leaking. It is about as effective as a fuel rail lifting on boost and spraying fuel all through the engine bay.
Yet DW also say it's not absolutely necessary. Just that it's an extra layer of protection. The first layer isn't so easily penetrated if everything is installed correctly (and assuming people didn't receive bad batches). As proven by many consistent power pulls on pump and E85, by me and others.
Anyway you guys convinced me, even though it sounds like another fad on this forum among the likes of replacing entire perfectly good throttle body hoses just because the gaskets are crap. In the name of overkill, I have some extra O rings to be installed once the lib comes back.
