I regret putting an aftermarket FSB on, made the car way too stiff at the front and understeer back like stock sways f&r.
But it's blue and looks cool and I don't track or drive the car hard so fuck it

How about some saggy butt spacers and WL rear upper camber bushes as the path of least resistance?
IIRC the spring rate, spring length, price and availability of Kings Springs standard/normal rears could fit the bill ( according to esteemed advice from the QLD area ;) )

Swaybars should only be used to tweak your setup, not to be used to control your body roll. That's what your dampers are for.
However, if you're on stock suspension or entry level China spec coilovers, you don't have a choice, and will feel a massive improvement with thicker swaybars. Having said that though, feeling an improvement doesn't necessarily mean it's quicker. Kind of like people putting stiffer springs to reduce body roll. That's the incorrect way of doing it. It's all in the dampers!!!!

+1

Also suspension upgrades don’t just stop at sways bars and end links, there’s plenty of under body bracing and lower arm braces which work great as a package when used with correctly valved and weighted coilovers….. then of course wheel alignment and tyres choice need to be considered.

I struggle to understand why people think that slapping lowering springs on an OE valved shock or crap coilovers with 32 level dampener adjustment settings combined with sway bars are the only suspension mod you need to transform the handling of the car.

Can anyone suggest an approach to mitigating fishtailing at freeway speed, either through suspension setup and or driver education?

Hmmm yeah good dampers is the no. 1 thing you should be sourcing to improve handling...being nit picky here - it's also very important to match the correct stiffness and height springs for the damper setup...like a spider's web, you move one thing and you'll need to move the others too...so it's not quite "all in the dampers" :)
