I would have thought that harder damper rates would be better with controlling the axle tramp.

Harder rates will cause more axle tramp. The softer it is the more it will "absorb" the rear loading for want of a better word

By setting it up firmer at the rear, the inertial moment will want to transfer through the chassis forward, and since you no longer have fwd, it will want to "snap" as Owen said

I also find it hard to see how you're tramping on stock power and being that low :?

Aaaahh ok. I will drop the damper settings down.

And i will have to get you in the car in the wet as that is where it just tramps like a bitch

I'm not entirely sure axle tramp is what you're feeling. Axle tramp will send your indicator and wiper stalks flying up and down and all that shit, and more predominant in high powered front wheel drive vehicles. Your's is not front wheel drive, nor high powered. I think what you're feeling is the tyres breaking traction, but not fully lighting up. More power and a tight LSD will most likely fix this problem.

Trust me its axle tramp. It BANGS through the car. Only in a straight line. Add a corner and it just lights up all good .

It seems to happen when it wants to spin the passenger side wheel, its more apparent in 1st but can do it in 2nd aswell.

EDIT### i think your onto something tho with the tighter LSD. Cause come to think about it, when both are going its fine . When its not starting to "kick out" but wheel spinning thats when i get it.

I have a feeling its related to your tyre pressure being too high

This will induce what feels like axle tramp but infact its your wheel bouncing around

Could also be cos your coilovers are on too hard now that its rwd

Try soften the settings and failing that, drop some tyre pressure

Yep. What Mick said.
What you're feeling is highly likely "grip, spin, grip, spin, grip, spin" from 1 wheel at a very quick rate. Soften dampers and raise it a bit. Now would be a good time to replace all your diff support and subframe bushes too to eliminate excessive movement.

Out of curiosity, did you leave the front shafts in and left them free spinning or did you remove them and blank up the holes? I was going to go down this path when my centre diff went, but after doing some research on R200 rear diff conversions, custom subframe and shafts etc I quickly ruled it out as I planned on selling the car soon.
