Harder rates will cause more axle tramp. The softer it is the more it will "absorb" the rear loading for want of a better word
By setting it up firmer at the rear, the inertial moment will want to transfer through the chassis forward, and since you no longer have fwd, it will want to "snap" as Owen said
I also find it hard to see how you're tramping on stock power and being that low
