Had a great catch up with Matt in Melbourne. I asked him to look at how the last tune revision was doing (uploaded back in March at the height of the rattle-ping wars) and IAM was at 1.0, no knock, still pulls well. I was just going in for a tune health check and not expecting more performance.
Then he says, I've been working on a few refinements which I developed on my own H6...so he loaded that up and wow, more torque everywhere and a real willingness to rev.
Apparently this is the new safe base tune...Feels like safe with extra sauce compared to the last revision!
Car feels great and I'm not fussed by the numbers, as I drive on the road not on a dyno.
A big thanks to Matt for continuing to evolve the H6 tune and being a pleasure to deal with.

Totally agree with this! Had my first tune done in March and was happy then but this new tune feels like a bigger difference than the first time. I also wasn't expecting any more performance but now the car feels much stronger, so much better to drive. Biggest difference for me was just how smooth everything was, it pulls so cleanly from even below 1500rpm. I remember getting into my car the next day and being pleasantly surprised how smooth it was, because my car was always a bit jittery when cold before, but now that's gone.
I'm pretty sure fuel consumption went down slightly, I averaged just over 10L/100km on my last tank; mostly urban driving with a bit of highway. That reminds me, overtaking on the highway is a lot of fun

no need to change down from 6th now, it just pulls so well. I followed a gen 3 B4 Liberty and when we both overtook a car he wasn't pulling away at all, and he definitely gave it the berries. Another addition is the launch control

I'll probably never actually launch it but it's awesome anyway haha.
As always, Matt was great. Another big thanks to him.
