just out of curiosity, can anyone tell me if this will be a direct bolt on fitment or if I will need the WRX steering knuckle to make it fit?

http://www.bestmufflers.com/bshop/produ ... 8b60de607d

Also, will this both straight up after?

Direct bolt up, yes. Same dump pipe as the one I have installed :)

That center/y-pipe should be a direct fit as well, but as long as you get the xforce cat with the dump pipe. (it would be the lower cat - between the dump and the centre pipe)

Thanks Nathan. I reckon that is the best bang for buck option. Did you have any issue fitting the dump? As mine is auto I want to avoid having to change steering knuckles to make it fit.

Also approximately what kind of gain did you get from this post tune?

That would still work out cheaper than a custom dump pipe though surely?

Woops, didn't realise yours is an auto Shav.

It's not the steering knuckle which is a concern on the Xforce dump pipe. It is that the auto gearbox is physically longer so the curve in the dump (under the car) needs to be further backwards.

See this post for MSR's modified x-force dump for the auto gearbox

Oh right, so the rear length of the dump needs to be modified to negotiate around the gearbox then? I was under the impression that the dump collector straight from the turbo was the thing that interfered with the steering knuckle. Interesting. So I could effectively still fit the suggested dump pipe, but would need to modify the tail end of it to get around the gearbox?

The dump collector and steering knuckle clash only happens on dump pipes which are made in USA for USDM market, because they don't have have the steering knuckle on that side to worry about.
Xforce is an Australian based company and shouldn't have that problem with any of their dump pipes.
Ypure correct about fitting the dump pipe with mods to the rear end :good:

Had the car serviced yesterday. New TB pipe fitted and the car feel silky smooth to drive again. :D No hesitation, not jerky acceleration. Just nice and fluid. New fog light globes look good. Pretty bright though compared to the old dirty white ones. They look good now.

its been a while since I posted up an update.

Not much to report other than having to get new front sway bar links fitted today. Kept hearing a knocking noise from the front in the past few weeks since getting my F&R sways fitted. Taken it to my mechanic and he reckons the stock ones are now cactus which doesnt surprise me considering how hard to drive the car into corners. So now getting new whiteline ones fitted. Paying a bit for it but I dont have the time to find them and do it myself. At least I know its done.

There is something rolling around under the back seat or under the carpet, sounds like a screw or bolt or something and its been driving me nuts for weeks. So if I have a bit of time this weekend I'll pull the back seat out and have a good look for it.

Car due for its tire rotation Saturday so getting that done too.

Other than these little things, there is noting else to report.
Cheers
