Most KW in cars you know?

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

Most KW in cars you know?

Postby SkoobyGT » Mon Apr 21, 2008 9:49 pm

Basically I want to know what STREET cars you know that you or your mates own, and what sort of KW they push.

I know it will be depressing, to show what nuggests we own, but meh, fun all the same.

Mine is about - 170 kw atw
Mates Lancer GSR - 340 kw atw
Mates GTR 33 - 340 kw atw
Evo 9 Lancer - 250 kw atw

and the shocker

Holden Barina 1.8 - 550HP (406 kw atw). Looks stock as.

Makes me depressed when I have to drive something slow ever day.
I would like about 250atw to be contented.

All genuine figures.

Pretty funny shit

My Porsche 928 is listed as doing 221kw at flywheel, which aint bad for 83, and mechanical injection, and driveability is excellent at any temperature. NA, 4.7L V8 SOHC. Nothing else of note.

As much as this is an interesting thread, you're trying to compare cars that have very different purposes and very different philosophies! Crazy blue Liberty owners!

Except for the Barina, the cars you listed are pretty much bred for the track, with just enough bits thrown in to make them street legal. And I'm sure with enough money (say about ~ $30,000+) thrown in, you'll get the same numbers as the Barina. :derisive:

The Liberty is a platform that's centred around quiet luxury with enough grunt to kick arse now and again. If you're just to push it to 250, you'll need to consider a frount mount and bigger turbo to start.

Heh-heh. Sorry, man. It makes me giggle every time a Liberty owner complains about their Liberty being under-powered and don't want to invest the money or extensive work in getting it to near the level they want. Especially when their money could have been spent on a more powerful platform like the Skyline or WRX.

Why buy a Liberty and invest $10,000 to make it perform like a WRX, when one can just buy the WRX to start?

No they were not on the same dyno, and not at Pulse as they are not 4wd dyno.

I agree Jim, but I dont want a track car like the Evo, Skyline etc, I want a luxurious car that kicks ass.

Refined to drive but boot it and it screams, is my goal. Takes time and money. I have the time but no money atm.

my friend had a R8 that had about 345rwkw but now he has a X5 diesel (standard), ducati 1098 with some sort of racing mufflers that increased it a bit and his XR6 ute he is claiming 500. it had 400 but the engine shit itself so he got a better one for it (don't know the specifics, will try to find out).
also another guy i know's RS4 has a new exhaust that added 15kw to take it to 324atw. but he's selling that and getting an Audi S5 and has purchased (not sure if he's received it yet) a lotus 2-eleven.
If any of you are from the ryde/Gladesville area you might have seen his RS4, dark grey with black 19" rims... sound like a V8 supercar
