Hey Andrew, I've got 1.4.3.1. is that the latest? Edit: on an SD card...

I'll need to give Daren a call again - I really don't want to have to escalate this to consumer protection! *sigh*

Yeah, I last spoke to Daren on the phone 2 weeks ago.
He advised me to send him details on his email.
Haven't heard again and honestly sick of waiting already.
It's only just over 6 months that I have the unit with me and it never behaved since day one.

sit back for a CSB moment...

It has never properly worked ever since I got it.

1 out of 10 times, it boots up.
Usually it hangs on the dark screen with scrolling text.... then a popup appears with two buttons: DETAILS & QUIT.
DETAILS is an empty screen(?), QUIT asks me to reboot.
I then found out there was supposed to be an SD card. Contacted Daren and he said he'll mail one to me - forward a few months and multiple emails, still nothing. So i got an SD card and got the files of bigBADbenny.

The update process never worked. Booting up with the .bin file, it stays on the screen that say UPDATING - DO NOT TURN OFF ECUDATASCAN!
After multiple times waiting 2 hours for the update and retrying, I gave up and deleted the .bin file.

It then worked with the other files from bBb, but for about a 2 or 3 weeks period (I don't drive the car daily, so unsure how many times exactly).

Then one day I got this in the car...

New SD card, new files, new attempt to update, even tried it with different cables and on the computer... all negative. I was ready to throw the darn thing out the window (literally). But decided to give the ECUds another chance, so got down to finding how to get Daren.

Well, 2 weeks ago I called and he was going to send a replacement. Just called again and he was too busy and will send one this weekend. So fingers-crossed, I have it before I go on my road trip at the end of next week.

Got a text from Daren last Friday, informing me my replacement ECUds is on its way (& apologising for the delay in sending out the replacement ECUds).

Got it today after returning from my road trip away.

Happy to announce that the replacement unit is fully functional on first bootup :yahoo:

Hope this unit does not fail me.... ever! lol

It's still siting on the shelf in my garage as the missus thinks it too complex for what she needs. Prefers Google Maps on the iPhone than all the rigmarole she has to go thru just to navigate. And she is not the slightest bit interested in knowing the water temp or air intake temp or anything more than when to put fuel in the tank!

The only time it gets used is when I go somewhere in her car.

I'm pretty sure I already pay your pension Mark. That should suffice.

Jokes aside, I would be keen on seeing what the car can do now.

Not sure on the movements this weekend, other than tomorrow is booked so will let you know late tomorrow.

Maybe you pay me that pension direct, cut out the middle man, then I might get a half decent one!
