Worth mentioning that installer (S&J) commented how nicely it all bolted up. Retained stock end links.







Although the bar thickness appears similar, the Cusco items are quite a bit heavier, especially at the rear one as the stock one must be hollow. I think the stock front bar is solid.

I'd guess the front Cusco is 20% heavier than stock item and the rear about four times heavier (!).

In retrospect just changing the rear would have been acceptable but what's another few $ at this point?

Whilst prices will vary month to month with currency fluctuations these may give you a guide;

x1 CUSCO front sway bar $338

As I said in previous post I wonder if you could do without the front sway given the stock item feels similar. Maybe someone else could comment on this.

Indeed, although it would seem with the Cusco sways I've slightly increased the front stiffness, but massively increased the rear.

Hopefully results in well balanced set up.

So you think with what the front sway bar costs its probably not worth it?? Ive only got a 2.0R NA and am only really interested in handling mods. Looking at your lil setup just makes me want to buy it all. Did you get PHAT GT to install it as well?

I'm in Adelaide. Whilst PHAT is quite obliging but I don't think he'd travel that far!

Hard to say re front sway. Yes I thought it best to do both at once but that's typically me.

It was either therapy for my obsessive / compulsive tendencies or a front sway bar, and the bar was cheaper!

Had some initial problems with some Whiteline springs that raised the car instead of lowering it. Then put in STi pinks and all was good. To be fair I think the '07 was more different to the '06 that people first thought and this was early in the piece when I did this.

I was also attracted to Cusco's asymmetric front / rear sizing. Most seemed to have same thickness front and rear and I interpreted Cusco's approach as more considered (rightly or wrongly).

Lastly that it came from Japan also influenced me. And to think that 30 odd years ago the best they could come up with was the 120Y... How things change!
