I'm floating around 17/100km since the tune... that may have more to do with how much time I'm spending booting it in S# though...

Petrol is so damned expensive too

Yep, Mine jumped to 14L for a bit while I was on the happy pedal. But there is a sweet spot I have found that will still 'feel' the power and return economy to a respectable level. I notice I need to drive it a little harder and use some throttle management and my economy improves all the time. I also think that because I am due for a service on Monday, it could also be having an effect on economy too. :P

That's pretty good. Mines at 12 now in peak hour traffic. But is getting better as time goes on. I can only assume the ecu will learn how you drive and calibrate accordingly?

I don't think there will be a way to bypass the Hitachi ECU's on the 2.0R's for a while.
I've been using an ETC (electronic throttle controller) for a while and it helps with the delay on the throttle. Helps a bit but nothing compared to a proper tune.

Hitachi has no flashable memory, so they are not flash tuneable :)
