Well it's been just over a week since I got my car back and wanted to report on some progress! Firstly, the car is SO good to drive! After having to drive it sedately for 2 months and then not having it for a further 4 weeks after that, it's been great to spend some quality time with it! First item on the agenda is to head on back to Garage 88 on Saturday to replace the brake pads that I fried on track day

Too much boost! Haha
Just also wanted to note...this turbo is amazing! Spools quick enough for me and once it kicks in you are really thrown back in the seat! Lag is overrated! I was scared of lag after reading multides of posts on this forum and other forums but it honestly isn't that bad! Because my car is a 2.5 ltr I have decent torque down low so it offsets this a bit but even still the overall change is not that much of a difference over stock. It is so worth it for the extra power in the mid-high ranges. Anyone who has come for a drive in my car will know that the lag is minimal and well worth the benefits!
I have also been in contact with Matt regarding some DBW and boost tweaks to hopefully have the torque converter lock up that little bit more. The prediction is 15psi by 3000rpm! Someone say lag? What lag??!
Also loving the general look of the FMIC, it is subtle and discreet yet sets the front end off nicely now and makes it look just that little bit more aggressive. The engine bay is also looking very schmick, it is a very neat install and once my engine covers go back on it will
almost look stock! Once everything is touched up I will be sharing some sexy photos
Oh and one other thing. The turbo has really made the exhaust scream on WOT! I am addicted to the sound of my engine opening up. As Leo said to me at the track day, it almost sounds like an external wastegate now!
It will be interesting to see how my car performs at WSID on October 3rd...I am hoping to get a decent video of it going up the strip too!
