Didn't end up beating the 12.21. Only had three runs 12.46 and 12.61 were the other times.

Best mph was 109.8, and it's still boost cutting before the line at 6000rpm, so I know for a fact it's got another 0.2 in it to get to 12.00 or 11.9XXX

Taking the best of all the time slips, it would do 1.74 60ft, 7.8 to 1/8, 110mph and 11.9 something.

Not going back anytime soon but maybe once some more minor tweaks can be made (eliminate fourth gear boost cut or raise it and less wheelspin off the line).

For now I'm happy with the results

Goes to show the work phat / garage 88 / matt (kido tuning) can weave

We have some great resources at our disposal guys - mick's knowledge of the little things are what make the difference and I can't wait to get my 2.5 build done (collaboration between garage 88 and me).

Mick

Great work Mick can't wait to see how you throw this thing around the track next Friday ;)

Was this tuned remotely on the road or on the dyno?

On a down note, I went outside to check my car is all ok earlier

My Sti centre cap is gone from the left rear wheel!!

Mustn't have liked 3200rpm launches :)

Anyone got a tip where I can get one from?

My first 'base tune' made 207kw on pump fuel running less boost than before :)

I’ve got one somewhere….. let me find it.

Very nice numbers….. goes to prove that a correctly tuned and modified unopened engine can get some serious results.

Looking forward to seeing the results with your built monster.

Thanks Tony

Would be awesome if you had one around

Yeah it was pretty warm (hot wind too). Intake temps were sitting at 24-28 degrees after a run, so prob a little room for improvement there although I doubt it'd make a massive difference to the e/t, maybe more top end pull

The key is the shifts - Im still hitting the limiter first to second cos it won't upshift when I tell it to, and then the boost cut. That's why I'm very confident it's got another 0.2-0.3 of a second in it even without improving the launch, which could probably also improve.

Go for it Leo, if it is a 6 speed it won't bust, and if it is a 5 speed mine is lying around at A&Mauto, so if it would get you going again if you broke your 5 speed.

Oh, and I still cannot believe this car's performance in the 1/8th, ferking 90mph. That is like 15 mile quicker than mine. Must nearly snap the seat backs man.

I posted Mick's time on the legacygt forums to start some discussion. They were suss about Matt's tuning and didn't think it was legit. They were mentioning things like he plays around with the numbers to make the cars "feel" like they shift crisper and quicker without any actual benefit. Mick's time down the quarter mile proves this wrong.

Also, interesting to note that Mick's time is 4th fastest on the legacygt all time fastest list...

Well it's pretty much the equal fastest time posted on our forum too so that's saying something...not including DeMobBoss who dropped into the 11s didn't he?

Link to which one? The one where I made the post? Or the one with their fastest times?
