Without the cover you will be allowing air to bypass the cooler.
With a bigger TMIC and retaining the standard underbonnet duct, you miss areas of the larger TMIC which leads to areas on the IC that arent cooled efficiently.
Some good info there thanks Mark! I had considered getting the zerosports aftermarket duct but again I guess this isnt any good with the standard engine cover anyway. Stuff I can start to think about in the coming weeks as the turbo goes on and such. By the way Mark I have a plan to take a holiday, just so I can take by brembos off and send them to you to be re finished!

If I cant drive the car to work every day I'll just go on a trip so it can sit in the driveway while they get done. This is what us WA boys (and girls) need to resort to!
