So went to Wsid tonight

Best time of 12.61 @ 108 mph. 60 ft was 1.88.

Only had four runs, and best trap speed was 111mph.

On the 12.6 run I hit the limiter shifting 2nd to 3rd (manual shifting wasnt letting me shift!!) and also it cut out in fourth at 6000rpm just before the line for some reason. Think this was boost cut.

This was with full spare and a full tank of fuel.

Shifts and launch need work but I reckon it's got a 12.3 in it still. If I had a couple more runs I think I would've got there.

Pretty happy with that though.

Thanks J

Yeah it's not too bad a result for an unopened 2.0litre with 192,000kms on the clock!

I really do feel it's got a low 12 in it though, as it wasnt running optimally tonight - bum dyno tells me a 10% drop in power / torque since tune last week

I blame that on the batch of e-flex (tried filling from a different outlet) and also the shifting stuff ups didnt help

I'm going back next week with proper fuel (maybe quarter tank this time and no spare wheel) to see if I can hit that 12.3 target of mine.

Mick

*Edit* - I realize the above excuses sound like bullshit when you read it, but I'm being completely honest it doesn't feel as solid as on my last tank of fuel and the difference is noticeable in mid range. With good fuel batch, good launch and proper shifts I'm confident of cracking a 12.3

Loving the up dates Mick :).

Must feel like a beast once you hit full boost with that new mid and top end.

I hear you about fuel, only BP98 for my car. Was the fuel it was tuned on and only runs best with that. power down on all other brands.
Damn impressed with your time on an unopened donk  amazing its holding together!
Apparently Kido Matt knows his stuff.
Next week with no spare, carpet mats out, back seat headrests out.......

Great result Mick.

You must be pretty stoked especially given the times are close to the likes of Gambit and GB with 2.5 forged manual setups.

Noticed on page 10 of this thread you ran 14.6.

What were the differences in the setup with that effort and last night?

And when's the next run sans spare tyre and excess fuel? I can't wait. :D

Thanks for all the kind words fellas

Jay yeah it's freaky the difference. Even my logger shows some af correction which tells me the current fuel tank ain't as good as last one

Bruce - yeah im pretty happy with it mate and like I was saying all along the 2.0 litres go alright - go the quad avcs :)

No mechanical differences whatsoever from last run at 14.6. Just the e85 tune by matt and 1.5psi more boost!

However I must clarify that I found out after the 14.6 run that my wastegate hoses had come loose so ebc was not working and thus I was only running 14.5 psi (wastegate spring pressure), and this threw the ecu into all sorts of crap including heavy fueling and knock correction etc.

Tony - why dont I just chop the roof while I'm at it and take off all doors and rear windscreen?

Thanks again guys
