will that fit a non GTB face lift bumper?

it keeps going on about JDM bar only..

also, im hoping you are being serious, not pulling the piss.. i know a lot of people on here are all about "brand name only" and frown upon anyone with a non genuine Sti one..

cheers

No, serious. I thought you had an 08 GT from your user info?

If you have an '08 GTB then thats the lip you want. They have the wrong car pictured in that listing.

These lips are super flexible and perfect copies.

Just looked at that ebay link... looks throughly confusing about exactly which car it'll fit!

The Ultrex one is reasonably priced, is available locally, and at least you know it'll fit your car. The genuine STi ones are stupidly expensive and I don't think they fit the GT anyway?

BTW... nice pic of your car, looks great!

very interested to hear these.

They look decent.

What size is the input to the muffler, 2.25??

So I went on a 480klm round trip to pick up my mufflers today.. worth the drive, plus driving down the south west of WA on a beautiful day is hardly a bad thing.. plus I took all my photo gear and got some awesome shots on the way..

I will chuck them on tomorrow and see what they sound like..

Had some spare time after so I decided to install some new fog globes too.. not HID's but better anyway..

One done

New one

Old yellow one

Both done

Bit hard to see in the shots, but quite a difference..

Happy with it for a $12... 5 minute job..

So, I took the car for a spirited drive around some Targa West roads over the weekend..just to give the swaybars a good test... So impressed by how well it handles... Even without the billies in yet..

There is still a long way to go to get it riding like I want.. But it's heading in the right direction..

The only downside was that the car developed a suspension knock along the way..

I remember people crapping on about how whiteline swaybars knock so I decided to have a look underneath and check everything out.. All that happened was that the nut on the rear links wore through the powder coating and came a little loose.. Gave it a quick tighten and it's all sweet.. No knocks, no noises..

I'm looking into what can be done with the exhaust as well, I've got some spare time next week so I might drop the exhaust and see if I can weld up something better.. The only bit I can see being a slut is the y pipe as I don't have a pipe bender..

Oh and while on the topic of exhausts.. I had a chat to a bloke that was doing an exhaust on my mates Evo.. He said avoid those Dynomax VT mufflers like the plague.. The springs inside the muffler are weak as piss, they warp and fly off.. Then rattle around inside while doing sweet fuck all.. Or worse, the valve jams.. He had 5 of them sitting in his bin that he replaced... All with less than 20k,000k's on them.. Junk

Not to mention the piss weak 1mm sidewall..

Anyway, thought I would share because I know some people on here were looking into them..

Thanks for the heads up on the dynomax VT mufflers issues.
I'll go back to my original plan.

no worries mate.. i was a bit shat coz it sounded like a good plan.. just whack one of them in the middle of the system and cut out drone..

oh well, will see..

Dropped my car off to S-technic for it's schedule I (112.5k) service this morning.. hopefully they wont find anything wrong with it...

was good to have a chat with them in the morning, both Dave and the other guy (who's name escapes me) really know their shit..

i was pleased to hear that i shouldnt really have any worries about the auto gearbox breaking.. having owned 300+hp auto cars in the past, i was always paranoid about autos detonating themselves...

got some good tips from them.. will see what they have to say when i pick it up..
