Hey Laurie,

ECUdatascan was $513 shipped to Perth via express post. Arrived in a a couple of days. Excellent piece of gear, just gotta figure out how to use all the functions!! Havent had much time to play with it yet. Ill post some photos of it working so you can see how it displays and stuff.

Na i have done a stick to the windscreen job but ive put it as close to the pillar as possible and it looks pretty good there. I cant put in in my cubby hole as i have a Parrot bluetooth system install in there.

NA84WA wrote:Power was down to 186hp from the original dyno figure of 205hp. Sean tells me this was proberly due to it being a rainy day with more humidity in the air, so the figure was off but doesn't really matter. The good part is, torque was up 40nm bring it to nearly 300nm which is fantastic. Its proberly 100nm less than a manual with the same mods but this is due to the fact that with an auto you need to be gentle with it on the dyno as you dont wanna load up the torque converter too much and kill the gearbox!!
Now the bum dyno!!! The car has been totally transformed after fitting the TMIC and the 3 port solenoid. There is definitely way more power under the foot and the car pulls hard with full boost (16 psi) from 2750rpm pretty much right through til 5500-6000 rpm. Even though there was a loss of 20hp, driving the car feels like its 20hp more powerful and the power is way more usable low down and in the mid range. The boost comes on harder and really snaps you back in the seat and the whole front end of the car lifting up on acceleration.Cheers guys :D

Awesome. Dyno's are just a tunning tool, they can read low or high, lots of factors can influence the result.

The main thing is that you can feel the difference with your new mods over the last and your now enjoying your car.. Well done..

Hey Nick,

Just out of curiosity, did you ever sort out what the exact issue was with the Cruise light flashing, SI drive flashing and engine light problem?

And do you have a turbo timer installed by any chance?

The same issue has just happened with me and keen to know how you went with it.

Hey Jerome,

It was a P0420 code which is something to do with the catalytic converter and the 02 sensor. I took it back to the tuner who cleared the fault and adjusted the parameters for the 02 sensor in the exhaust after the catalytic converter and it hasnt come back. I also checked the operation of the 02 sensor with a mates diagnostic gear and the sensors are all working fine. I have a PHAT DP and only got the CEL after install of the DP and a tune. All sorted now and have had not problems since. No turbo timer installed either.

Hope that helps!! There is a thread in the 2.5 specific section aswell i think.

Thanks for that!

All good already had the code sorted using a weird method (turned the car on and off 7 times quickly). When I eventually get a tune I'll see if the tuner notices anything!

Nice Nick.

I have also just got an ECU DataScan and they are sweet. Give the 0-100 a few goes if you're game, on some country back roads where it's safer of course.

Out of interest where did you get your STi oil cap?
