So for the guys that have bought this with manuals, does the compression braking down through the gears work better? I've found with the throttle control (I assume it's the throttle control) that using braking with the gears is almost useless compared to my old wrx sti which I assume didn't have throttle control.

As engine braking occurs with the throttle closed, the sprint booster would have no effect.

Engine braking is mainly a function of compression ratio, friction horsepower and drivetrain friction.

i know we are a rare breed these days in the N/A's, but im curious as to weather or not this is only something that works for you gt folk..

after all, if it help with throttle response, and does nothing for power. i just thought it may be something that will make me think i have power

Up to you mate, but even on a GT I felt no difference at all.

Kurt, for what it's worth, I sold mine. It gives slight throttle response but it's still far from linear. For the money, I'd rather get a GFB pulley kit.

Yeah, that's what I thought, but I've got a feeling that just because you've got your foot off the pedal, doesn't necessarily mean that the throttle is closed. My understanding of the electronic throttle control was to get a smoother ride, and conserve fuel and limit emmission (which ends up equalling less responsiveness it seems).

Just a thought as there is a MASSIVE difference between driving a scooby with and without this electronic throttle control.

Its opposite, more jumpy and a bit rougher, when you jump on the throttle it likes petrol.
The autos are less agressive than the manual version.
Some guys like it, some guys don't. It depends on the way you drive.
And you can't compare it to a ecu tune, cos it isn't one.
