5W-30 is readily available (I haven't seen 0W-30 on shelves anywhere), and is your best bet IMHO. If you find you are consuming oil then go up to a 5W-40. The oil that is thinner when cold is going to give you better protection at startup regardless of if the weather is cold or not. 15W-xx is a bit too thick for your engine in Melbourne.

Yeah that'll do the job; no need to go over the top you should give your extra money to PHAT GT
tangcla wrote:So, oil change - should I use 5W30, or should I go 5W40 to be safe?
