As far as I know a MAF(mass air flow) and AFM (Air flow meter) are the same things which is the small black box on your intake system.
however an A/F sensor is a air/fuel ratio sensor which you will find in your exhaust system and these seem to be a common problem on the 2.0l GT's... I have had mine replaced twice in a year!
If it was bank 1, sensor 1 then that is your Air/Fuel ratio sensor and that is what you will need to replace not the MAF OR AFM.
And as far as I know there is only two options for this 1: you buy a sensor from the company who makes them for Subaru or 2: you buy the exact same sensor no difference at all apart from the Subaru box it comes in
Hope that helps
If i am wrong in anyway please correct me!
cheers
