Follow this recipe:
1. Ferodo DS2000 pads, DS2500 or something exotic if you are really serious
2. Any top quality fluid, changed frequently (very important)
2. DBA 4000 rotors or 2 piece with alloy hats if you want better cooling
3. Braided stainless steel brake lines
4. Master cylinder brace
If you really want to get carried away with the cooling:
5. Brake ducting front AND rear
I saw in another thread you were directed to speak with Tony Dunn at VSport, he is excellent and can help you out with a lot of that stuff. What he can't get, I'm sure Phat can.
That set up will outperform the standard STi Brembo package (at less than half the cost) in every way except maybe caliper flex. Caliper flex is un-noticable compared to the firewall flex without a brace.
Zero bling factor, lots of brake dust and pad squeal if you don't drive it hard enough though.
