Installed the Clarion EE-1155B-A a while a go now and it did not work. Also tried it with a genuine Clarion unit also and it did not work.
Finally got round to taking it into Clarion Service and asked if they could test if it was working.
They very kindly tested it straight away and found it is working ok but it will not work with the McIntosh as "it seems there is a difference in the CeNet protocol"
Seems Clarion made a change to the protocol between the release of this unit and the McIntosh in the Subies.

Anyone want to buy a Clarion EE-1155B-A going cheap :)
Going to have to pay for the Axxess AIP-CL-ID iPod® And 3.5mm Aux unit somehow :D

Do we know for sure whether this thing works or not? If so then bring on the group buy / install.

Did you try using the Clarion EE-1155B with the iPod plugged in? I read some where you need the iPod plugged in to the 1251 for this Aux input to work.

I am just interested in the 3.5mm jack part and not the ipod adapter so I'm certainly prepared to give it a go.
Only issue seems to be all sites that have it (including Amazon) will not ship outside of the US.

No I didn't, as I don't have a 1251 and I am not after an ipod connection.
The aux input is via a 3.5mm jack, although it does have 2 CeNet connections so you could also input a 1251 I believe

I have one in my 04 Legacy GT-B with McIntosh HU... Note that it kinda works with the iPod touch V2.. .It works as far as putting the audio through, but it doesn't charge the iPod. It has the same problem with the 3G iPhone. OS3 didn't change the behavious for either iPhone or touch.

But the 3.5 inputs works fine... It is however slightly lower level than the CD or radio... On the Mc, If I am listening to the radio on 20, I have to put it up to about 25 when I play through the line in...

That's what I am after, can you confirm where you got it from. Were you able to get it from outside the US or do you have a contact in the US.
I have seen it at a couple of dodgy Aus sites but it was more expensive.
I do have a contact in the US, so I can arrange it, but it may be best arranging a group buy

I actually got it from a local car audio shop here in New Zealand (Pauls Car Audio in Christchurch - http://www.paulsaudio.co.nz/ )... It was apparently quite new to them. I can't recall the cost as I had some other stuff done at the same time and it all lumped together.

I have installed one in my MY06 3.0R-B, and it'll route the audio into the Mac and charge the iPod. Control is via the iPod and not the HU controls. I found it unusual though that the iPod would continue to charge even with the key out of the ignition. I have also tested the 3.5mm interface and it works as expected.

Hi Jimmy,

2 things.....

1) Do you still retain control of your Mac CD stacker while you are using this?

and

2) Where did you get this from and price $$?

Thanks,

I'm going to be selling my ultra-rare Clarion EA1251 iPod controller suitable for the Mcintosh soon...
Controls the iPod through a second "CD Chamger" option in the Mcintosh and allows you to change playlists (five maximum), change tracks etc.

OK Clarence - you wouldn't be considering downgrading to the less ultra-rare alternative would you?

Or are you selling the Liberty?????

C'mon - fess up - what you want for it? Feel free to PM...

Does it include the Y adapter?
