Rear diffuser

Postby tangcla » Mon Oct 05, 2009 5:54 pm

Thanks to Michael for sending two down for me.
Test fitted, not too bad, needs a little bit of work. Wedged in place with some cardboard.

So, suggestions... black, body colour (silver) or charcoal?

IMHO with your side strakes, rear strakes, plus the diffuser, everything is starting to look rather "stuck on" if you know what I mean? The lines are otherwise awesome and would look much better if the extra bits and pieces were blended in with body filler and the whole skirt/rear bumper painted.

100% agree with Jim.

rice...u love that man seriously tangles.

but i'd rather prefer silverish for u car...dark grey for grey / black cars...

they look aggressive!

p.s. i dun know how to rate to be honest. different colour of diffusers look different on each car, so i can't really make a comment. unless you are just asking on YOUR behalf.
Cheers,

Julz

BTW Clarence, is that a crack in your bumper just above and slightly to the left of your drivers side exhaust tips ?

The panel is actually separate, like the tow hook access point.

Hi Clarence the black or charcoal look a little out of place it looks like that the rear spoiler has been cut out from one of the photos.

So I will say to colour spray the diffuser to the same colour as your car. The will look nuts.

Unless you find some exhaust surround thingos that extend the diffuser all the way to the sides, I'd say body color. It seems to end very, abruptly and doesn't flow properly like it would if it were a full diffuser.

Clarence, if the diffuser will be added on with the same shape as it is now, I'd say go with body colour (silver) to make it look more integrated with the rest of the vehicle. Otherwise if you notice the two ends at the sides, it ends very abruptly. As the other Jim noticed, this will make it look very ... 'stuck on'. Something that was added on and doesn't quite belong. On the other hand if the sides ended more subtley, say they wrapped around the exhaust surrounds or you cut off the sides so they ended earlier, you could go with charcoal or matte black.

Edit - Opps! Looks like Darren above me said the same thing! :D

I sat paint the top section to match and leave the vertical diffusers in matt black. So silver above the line of the exhaust tips or whereever there is a natural line, but definatley matte black below.

Nice diffuser. I'd stay with colour of the car otherwise it'll look out of place.
