Hi all - new to forum

Hi all, finally got round to joining.

I own a MY04 Blue Liberty GT, have had it about 4 years now, owned a Lib RX before that. Mods to the GT include - STI ECU, STI - Strut brace, STI quad exhaust, Roto TarmacII 18", Brembo brakes, Carazon front bumper , (Bilstein Shocks / STI springs - removed & in shed). Had it tuned (ECUTEK) however, the turbo did not respond well giving only a 5kw gain and very little torque, so it was removed.

Cheers
Chris

Welcome Chris,

I would love to see some bigger pics of your car, specifically the front bumper! It reminds me of the foglights in my SP23:

Removing the turbo is a bit vindictive isn't it? Give it another chance! ;)

Not good news for my GT.

I had to take the car to the workshop as the transmission is NOT good. First indication of trouble was when I accelerated to overtake and the revs went all the way to rev limiter and stayed there. At first I thought I had left it in manual mode. The transmission also started hunting for a gear erratically and engages 2nd to 3rd with a significant clunk. In addition, the Sports light is flashing on the dash(indicating transmission trouble). There is also a high frequency squeal coming from the engine bay which can be heard when there is a load on it.

The Dealer has had the car for three days now and is still unsure what the problem is. They have advised me that they are talking with SA to help identify what is wrong.
