Well I'm definitely in, and I am rapt to have my car be the demo car.

P.S. Anyone out there put another cigarette lighter attachment in the cubby (for nav and phone charging?)

* BUMP * Still heaps of spots left here for anyone looking for a fun day of mess. :-)

I'll also put up a more detailed list of tools required for the day with some piccy's so we can all have our stuff ready for the day. We've got 2 weeks to get our act together, I don't want time wasting on the day as it's gonna be busy enough without runs to Bunnings/BigW, etc.

Cheers LibJam, and a top job there too! Good turnaround time!

Anyway, here's the items you'll need:

Image

Stanley knife
Scissors that you don't want to ever use again
Pencil (to mark out weird shape you'll need to cut the sheets up into)
A 1-2inch hard rubber/wooden roller
Screwdrivers, more specifically, the really small flat blade (but not jewellers, that's too small) and the larger phillips head/star screwdriver
A role of fibre impregnated gaffa tape (clearly black is the right colour :P )
About 4 nappies (only 1 pictured) or 2 towells you're prepared to cut into rag size pieces

and not in the picture

A bucket
Some detergent (to clean off the doors)

Image

I also REALLY like the idea of the rigid plastic (as suggested by Tek---) so we can try to cover up some door inner skins. Anyone know where they can secure a bunch of it for everyone? Anyone got friends in the signage game?

I know you're cheap Tangles, but seriously, you're looking at about $3 at Bunnings. The nappies will almost cost you more! Think of the discount you had on the deadener itself, it kinda covers it a bit. ;)

I wonder if a set of these would be useful...

Car Panel Removing Tools

Anyone who's installed a pair of speakers or a head unit knows what a pain it is getting door panels and centre consoles off without scratching them. Use the right tool for the job - this set of pry bars will remove all the panels and even those upholstery clips. They're made of nylon/fibreglass composite and are extremely tough so they're guaranteed for 25 years. Ideal for DIY and pro installers. The set contains:

• 210 x 20mm fork/lever
• 210 x 30mm hook/fork
• 175 x 20mm flat lever/hook lever

prolly not a bad idea, and a good investment for $24, or 22.34 for 3+ (Group buy? )

just don't leave 'em in your car, or you might find a smashed window and them gone, and someone elses car broken into with a little more ease..

Will

ps... may go shopping this weekend to get bits, so will advise on what I paid...

I have a Jaycar Trade Card, so can get them for the next price break higher than normal.
i.e. one for the 3+ price, or 3 for the 6+ price :)
