I'm pretty sure they've got it working (flashing) on the older non can ECU's using an older version of ecuflash but still I consider it a risk. The later versions of ecuflash have a recovery mode that you can use if things go badly. You'd still have to be lucky though. Important thing if you have a failed flash is to leave the ignition on and retry even if it means rebooting your PC. Turn the ignition off and its game over and you'll have to send it away to chiptorque or someone else setup to do shboot :P .

Maybe I should add myself to the list of places with an ability to bring them back to life, I'll then sell you all dodgy cables under an alias then offer my services for the fix :P

Sounds like a great lucrative offer ;)

I remember the days before support comes out for these roms, you had to develop your own def. I did that for the 3R I had. it was interesting, but I hope we still have development as Merch_God is at Cobbs now.

The fuel and timing are interesting and so is the AVCS. For the JDM, no area where the Lift comes in.

Just posting here are so many thoughts go through my head as I have a EDM WRX coming into tune.

These cars work so bad to some sense, would people be interested in just DBW tuning?

I find it hard to think about DBW tuning, when the car is not performing and inconsistent. Do 3.0R owners feel this inconsistency?

What are your thoughts?

Guys if your rom is not supported in the Romraider Definitions then this doesn't mean it can't be tuned.

Edward is able to create a definition for your car but it takes him a full day. We all know that time equals money so we can't expect him to do this for free. If you consider the price of fitting a Haltech or other piggyback computer this is still the cheapest and best way of tuning your car.

I think Edward will create a definition for an unsupported rom for $130AU this is a day's labour. Very reasonable if you consider a Haltech will cost you $500AU approximately plus fitting and tuning. I had a Haltech on my WRX before Romraider came onto the scene. While it was OK it wasn't great.

Supported Liberty AUS Models:

05 D2WD603H (MT)*
06 D0XJ001M (MT)*, D0XJ001T (AT)*
07 D2UH001M (MT)*

Just to let everyone knows, my rate for tuning is $300AUD. This covers any problems seen in tuning.

The cost covers the following until further notice, as I try to keep my customer service high. Not one client can say I ignored their requests, even long after tuning.

At present, I have 2 customers that paid me and I am running them down for logs! lol.

  1. ROM Definition Support
  2. Tuning
  3. 24hr support as much as possible through Blackberry service. Additional support through email, Yahoo Messenger, MSN, Skype
  4. Free updates if applicable after tuning is completed
