After looking at more grills, I've narrowed the style down to a colour-matched grill with deep-set mesh.
Examples are:

(Japan Parts)Subaru Sports Grill - $450 (delivered from Japan Parts) - I contacted my local Subaru retailer and was told that the sports grills for my model are no longer sold in Aus
Ultrex Fibreglass Grill - $215 (delivered) + painting
... and that Ultrex carbon fibre grill keeps haunting me...
I'll give it some more thought but the Ultrex fibreglass option certainly appeals to the wallet! If I make up my mind, I might have to delay the "Introductions" post by 10-15 business days!
