oh and what is boost actually set at?

Max Target Boost is 2.013 Bar, which is 29.2psi, but that is absolute. Presuming 1bar atmosphere pressure (varies with height from sea level/weather) then target boost is 14.5psi (approx)
This is the same boost target as Auto's, but approx 1psi up on the manuals 13.5psi target ;)

More fuel and more timing generally gives higher power and torque, so STi is tuned for more "oomph" in the mid range and slightly in the top end.

DBW (Drive By Wire) settings basically means for how much accelerator you push down, how much the butterfly opens. Its not direct like cable throttle. 50% accelerator may only be 30% throttle depending on the load on the engine etc. But STi is generally requesting more from the engine for less accellerator input - gives the feeling of sharpness of the throttle. Dont have to mash it to the floor to get more out of it ;)

Hope this helps a little.

have a look at target boost B then the throttle plate position and the corresponding requested torque values. Boost comes in heaps earlier. Combined with the extra timing its much better. AVCS is different too a little they run some up in the top end which is unusual but they must be using the exhaust cams to allow for a benefit there...exhaust cam timing is a bit too much for my brain to cope with LOL

ahh that makes perfect sense. :D I was looking at the target boost tables, and saw 2.013 and thought that was pretty high!!
14.5 or 13.5psi sounds fairly low. but i suppose the tun would be on the conservative side from the factory which would explain it.
I really should get the car over to pulse to see what they can do with it!
Thanks :)

One thing I still havent worked out in all this - what makes the ECU switch from A to B table? Both A&B are open loop tables aren't they? so how does the ECU decide which to apply?

Pressure of standard atmosphere is nominally 101.3 kpa (1.013bar). As you say ambient atmospheric pressure will vary a bit but that target of 2.013 indicates to me that they're looking for 1 bar (gauge)

I'd be very interested in obtaining a copy of A2WD010Z, as I've got a MY05 LGT 5MT. I'll be happy to PM email details if someone is willing to oblige.

Mines MY05 2004 LGT (non STi) but considering much of the engine/turbo is identical I am interested in comparing maps.
I've flashed mine with the Drive By Wire of JDM LGT so I wonder how much the STi differs, if at all.

I grabbed the rom using ecuflash.. it's a .hex file.. is this what you're after?

Hi Steve,
I know this might be a long shot but do you still happen to have the file for the stock TBSTi tune? I have 2005 myself but I am looking to tune the normal 2.0 GT to match the Tuned by STI spec tune in Assetto Corsa racing sim and I want it to be as close as real life as possible. Would be amazing if you can help. :D
