Well now that every man and his dog has an air guide is anyone going to report on whether or not its really worth it? A report from each person that bought one would be great

Initial review...

Its been about 8 days of install, I'd like to report that my trip computer went from 10.2 to 9.6/100km.

That is the lowest it has ever been!!!!! And as most of you know I don't give a rats about fuel economy when I drive.

So there is the proof it works!

Its been over about 1.5 months now since install and very happy with the intake guide.
econ is up a little bit to 9.8, but thats cos of new toy.

One opinion just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid especially when so many have bought one. Thanks for your feedback anyway. Where is everyone else??????

I fit mine but my car is practically new so dont think i would notice any change with such low km's, sorry.

My friend (Noy) whose also purchased one off Mike and also a HKS Panel Filter, had just recently taken both those mods off and said he "couldn't believe the difference in power over stock that the panel filter and the intake guide had made"

I agree, an improvement with guide and panel filter.
When Mike installed he took the resonator off as well . I was interested to see what difference if any to performance with resonator on or off was so I put it back on, and probably imagination more than anything I reckon its a bit better with it on!
All I can put it down to is with the air guide forcing the air into the filter box with the resonator off the air is just going out the hole but with resonator on its getting thru panel better.
I make no pretense to being mechanically minded so will not be offended at all if one of you guys point out that its all my imagination because.......

im most happy with mine..... its the only mod i have done on my gtb. and i gained 15kw on dyno runs.

Based on the theory of the more air and the cooler the air the better I would have to say that it would help somewhat. Big power gains I think not!

If you are going to keep the factory air box and put in an after market filter a worthwhile mod IMO.

Cant see any significant increase in power, but cooler yes!

Still worth it me thinks.
