new MY04 liberty gt wagon owner

hi everyone,

i've just bought myself an imaculate 04 gt wagon and i can't tell you how much i love it, but for some reason i'm already keen to modify it, i've started with some 19"x8 rims and doing some research on coilovers, exhaust, tuning and cold air intake, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

my only problems so far is the right headlight bulb clip has been snapped off and the macintosh unit wont play cd's but still reads them, any idea's? subaru told me a new headlight will cost around $800 fitted and the head unit will need to be sent off for about two weeks resulting in a pretty hefty bill.

Keep an eye on egay for a headlight. They come up often enough, just make sure you get the right year model. Mine also broke but when I did my HID upgrade Leo strapped it all together perfectly with some wire.

Unless you really want to keep the stock McIntosh look, think twice about getting it replaced - replacement cost is obscenely expensive. You can get an aftermarket unit for cheaper (either singled din or double din) but do a search about it on the forums because you'll need to get the correct fascia for your car.

See this thread about the low beam clip that can break viewtopic.php?f=45&t=6102&p=89230&hilit=headlight+clip#p89230 it may be a band-aid solution until you can get a new headlight but i don't think i'll bother replacing the headlight as the solution of re-bending the wire works a treat... besides no-one sees it it's behind a cover!

My mate suggested re-building the plastic with araldite epoxy and then redrill the hole,
i might give that a go for now some silicon is holding it in place nicely even with the heat.

Damn i really like the look of the original it'd be a shame but then again it would be nice to have something compatible with my i-pod, thanks for the heads up.
