So, as Al has mentioned in his thread, we got both our cars tuned at HP-F yesterday.

Al's is an auto, mine a manual.

Thoughts:
Approx 20kw gain across the board.
Gone is the surge around 2.5 to 3.5k rpm.
Much more refined delivery.
Less breathless at the top.
Bloody hammers from 3k onward - massive difference in feel here (bum-o-meter of course)
More go down low.
Note the relatively safe boost changes.

No surging and I've noticed the fuel econ is better at cruising (about 0.4l/100km - approx only as I regularly check the instant read out one the same pieces of road), but definitely sucks more under WOT. Then again, she goes harder too!!

So the obvious question that no-one's asked..........

How do you rate it to your previous M cars now with a bit better handling and go? What % of an M car is it now?

Hey Sentinel,

Do you have any "down the line" shots of the side of your car and in particular the fitment of the wheels? Your 8.5" +50 wheels will actually sit the same as my new wheels will (8" +45) so was wondering how well they will fill the rear guards. Looking for a shot like this:

My new wheels have arrived but I wont have time to get them fitted until I get back from QLD in a fortnight and would like to see how they are going to fill the guards

Will be good to see if the surging returns as the ECU would have been reset today and the surging normally disappears on reset and then returns later.
