Meet the new "Mo_GT"

Postby Mo_GT » Sat Jun 09, 2007 11:12 am

Hey All,

My new car:
Image

Will take a few more pics of the car while its still standard after i detail it.

First impressions:

1) Cost cutting on this model is very obvious, things i noticed compared to my 05 GT - no light in the cubby, some of the under body air-deflectors have been left out, etc.

2) new interior plastics are flimsy - ashtray, trim around the gear stick, etc

3) leather is of cheaper quality - advice to other owners : take care of this leather interior as this is a harder gain of leather and will start to crack in a few years if not looked after

4) buttons on the McIntosh feel cheap compared to the 05, will be interesting to see what it looks like once i pull it out.

Now for the good bits :)

2.5 motor is really nice - and best of all I HAVE MY BOXER BURBLE BACK :D Can't wait to put the exhaust on it!

6sp box is gracefully done, i think its just perfect for the car. Not as notchy or as short as in the STI WRX.

Don't know if they have done any changes to the suspension apart from the Bils shocks but this car seems to handle better than the 05.

Will post up pics and info on the work i do to the car just as i did with my 05 GT - i've taken off my sound domain page for now but will re-do it when i have the time with info on the Spec B.

Bye,
Mo

Nice

I am keen to hear how you find the car over the next couple of months as I will be transferring my mods over to an 07 in about a year.

I didn't realise the boxer burble is back on the new model. Reason alone to upgrade :P

Thanks guys :)

Nothing done to it yet... it will be a few weeks before anything goes on to it.

Only thing i've put in are my floor mats.

I have to plan how/when i'm going to do what to the car as there are a few things i need to buy/order in and a few things from my old car that need to be cleaned before it goes on to this car...

:)

Yeah... i missed it for the past couple of years...

My main reasons to buy this car were:
1) boxer burble
2) 6sp box
3) 2.5 motor will plenty of torque!
