Here is what Subaru Australia said about using E10 in B spec Subrau's. Maybe this applies to later "B spec" I don't know how old this was when it was stated.

Interesting.

Any mention of MY07+? I only ask b/c I can't be bothered reading the manual or checking the fuel filler flap

In my experience from a fuel economy view point, my MY05 3.0R 5AT achieved the best performance/fule economy on Caltex Vortex 98. Consistently achieved 9.2 l/100kms with a 50/50 city/hwy cycle

I have used BP Ultimate 98 and almost the same, just a little less economy. 0.2/0.3 l/100kms

I have used Mobil Synergy 98 for similar results,

I only use Shell if there is no option as it is significantly less economy (more than 1.0 l/100kms). Shell sells only V-Power and they do not advertise the Octane Rating any longer at my local Shell.

Kind Regards,

Mark.
