you can also get a glass suction mount..........

Not a bad deal - but too rich for my blood... The glass suction mount should work on the bodywork of the car so you could mount it in a whole stack of places. The other mount that might work well is a magnetic one - given that the majority of our cars are magnetic.

Ric, the great thing about the Oregon cameras is that they are water and shock proof. They area also quite sturdy. If I am going to be sticking a camera outside a car it really needs to be a sealed unit. Did I mention that it's dust proof as well - which is quite important these days. :D :D

you forgot to mention the sound quality, which was pretty good considering the amount of tape you used.

I wouldn't be surprised if the tape helped reduce wind noise

Yes, the guy that loaned the camera to me mentioned that he usually taped over the mic to reduce the wind noise. I suspect that the sound that was recorded was transmitted as vibrations through the tow hook.

No matter which way you cut it, the video & sound quality was still damn good :D

There is also a product called a "Hero Cam"... Video quality is awesome, but you pretty much don't get sound :( Comes with a mount that can be put anyway. Pretty sure V-Sport sells them.

Fortunately the lipstick cam run has an in-car run associated with it so the sound can be stolen from that :)

That’s been noted Blacknwhite…….. I think if you or Arith were within 5km radius of my car last weekend, you both would have kicked the bucket out of shock….. and yes all the dust, grass and libsti’s skids marks have been cleaned off the interior…
