Postby Woodduck » Mon Aug 17, 2009 2:12 pm

Where is the security code usually kept? Iv looked right through my manual and all that and cant find it. Im thinking maybe the guy i bought it off has kept it? I just thought before i call up subaru that id make sure its not hidden somewhere? Save me from looking like a tool. Can subaru even give it to me?

I didn't think they had one at all. Is it actually asking you to enter one?

Im planning on connecting my HIDs tonight, hence having to disconnect the battery. So i was getting in ahead, so that i didnt havto drive around with no music while i found out my code lol.

Thanks Ric 8)

Hope your install went okay.

Maybe I should have, but I didn't undo the battery when I was installing my HIDs.
Figured I was really just changing bulbs so really didn't need to do anything different.
See my walkthrough on where I put my ballasts. These weren't the slimline ones but they are out of the way which is great.
I also have a 06 3.0RB so pretty much everything should be exactly the same.

Yeah went well mate. The only reason i hadto undo the battery was becuase i installed high beam HIDs aswell. They use an aftermarket relay and are wired straight from the battery for the power sorce.

To confirm, the mac DOESNT need a security code :D

Just havto do the foggies tonight. CBF last night lol.
