I'm actually going to take part of that last one back  The whole RPM scale is rooted LOL. Even though the graph is setup to display OBDII derived RPM it doesn't line up with the Run data which also has ODBII derived RPM.... well it is the same thing the graph is generated off the data. So it looks like theres a bug or there is a slim (read highly likely)chance that I may have F$%@ed it up LOL. I think I'll just disable that extra scale in the mean time

Got it almost to 148 now . Finished !!

I'd suggest only leave it off charts that you are planning on delivering to customers or showing off until you work out how to get it working on there consistently. It's a good reference point for most people as translating wheel speed to engine speed takes too much brain power for some

Yeah I only put it on this one to make my fault finding easier. Usually no one bothers. The other thing is with other derived data from aftermarket ECU's its fine and thats whats usually done here. Still I want it to work. The dyno guys are out here a couple of times a week usually so it won't be hard to get a patch happening. Not for this weekend though I would imagine. The data that we can give everyone will be right though, its just that one axis/scale on the pretty picture thats the issue

The GTI ECU is pulling timing because the inlet temps have risen a lot with the increased boost more than 15 degrees at one stage. I ran a second fan pointed at the very low mounted weeny FMIIC and the inlet temp dropped and timing rose.
Without an exhaust and bigger FMIC theres no point going any further on this one otherwise I'll be charged with car rape or something.

haha, maybe one day. You really have to sort out a few things to get it all working smoothly. DBW and timing have to suit the values well sort of actually you could add a bit more than that 8)

The other car is going up for sale today :( it will probably end up being parted out

make that quite a few things actually :P

I was looking at a tune that was done by a garage in wollongong.........what a piece of shit hardly anything was done apart from the very top end. would have looked good on a dyno though. All they'd done up there was wind up the boost and timing and then throw heaps of fuel at it, all guess work IMO no style and no dyno.

I was also looking at an ecutek tune on a Rex and found a mistake in an XB file  . Only minor relating to wastegate maximums but I think someone musn't have had their coffee that day

I must say, although I understand what you're saying for each field - I don't have the time to devote to learning how all the fields interact and effects of each. Well when I say I don't have time, I don't have time to develop my own tune and play with each field seeing the effect.

Thus why sometimes I think if you could offer "base" maps like many of the US guys have then tweak it via Learning View and log feedback you would be on a winner here. I know the US guys offer this service for ~$160AU and if you offered a local service similar, you would be on a winner Mark ;)

I'll see what happens. The thing is I can' t sell the car for anywher near whats been spent unless someone after a track car in a hurry. What I can do and at one stage did organise was selling the motor to someone with a stock STI who's loooking for a nice upgrade. I then get their stock motor and throw it in and do a quick reflash and sell the car as stockish
Looks like I'm getting an Audi S3 or A3 now for tuning purposes. It will be a step down power wise :(

Arghhh fun times getting the timing right. The last couple of days I've been dialing out these tiny mysterious instances of knock down low. All Good now I'm up to revision T

What caused this knock ? I finally questioned the Mrs and it turns out shes decided to fill up the car at the local dodgy servo with some 95 moctane E10 blend

As with their WRX/STI/VW/Audi offerings if fits really well. Just running a very mild tuned by STI version at the moment and the result was instantaneous even with the stock mid and rear section (it mates up with the factory stuff) you can really feel the difference coming on boost. Im still sorting logs for this to have a generic tune to throw on.

All in all I'm very happy with it and it gives everyone another option to try for our Libs :D
