Hey all,

Well i've pretty much decided to go with the car that i've seen. Just need to go back on the weekend and negotiate and hopefully she'll be mine!
It'll be a MY06 3.0R-B manual wagon in black. (Go team wagon!) Oil problems are a thing of the past with this car with an engine swap been done in the past. Unfortunately no factory warranty left on the vehicle, but i don't mind that as it makes me feel a bit less worried about modding this thing!

A bit about me and my car history i suppose - name is Neil and live in Box Hill in Melbourne. Past cars include:
2002 Audi S3 - APR flashed with upgraded haldex controller and coilovers.
1999 Honda Prelude vtir - Black, Manual with full factory kit, breathing mods, coilovers and sway bars etc and JDM type-r rims
1999 Honda Civic Coupe Vtir - Black, Manual, turbocharged with a gt25 roller bearing turbo, upgraded injectors, mugen exhaust, buddy club coilovers - sleeper car. looked stock but could beat most cars on the street.

Looking to do a few light mods to the Liberty. It's mainly for "family cruising" and I really needed to get something new as I have a little one on the way in October. As the S3 is waaaay too small for 3 people, looks like it's time to get a proper family car.
Wanting to get some phat quad pipe exhausts (hopefully he'll accept some new orders soon!), vin tune, upgrade lights to HID's (who's best to contact in Melb for a set of these?) and do internal LEDs (also with these?!). Also may do a bit of work on the stereo with some of the stuff that I have leftover and from what i've been reading, doing some proper sound deadening.

Great car you've chosen mate! Black, manual and wagon - you rock! H6 - I won't hold that against you.

hks180 (Leo) is the man re LED's and HIDs. Shoot him a PM or just check the For Sale section.

Apart from the sound deadening, it's really all or nothing with the McIntosh.
Do the deadening first, and you may be pleasantly surprised with how good it is

Just thought I'd mention that I got my car yesterday and absolutely loving it! I'll get some pics on the weekend for all of you but at the moment it's just like any other pre facelift 3.0rb wagon out there... Hopefully not for too long though! Already got a hks filter ready to drop in and awaiting some other stuff soon.
