Need to change your user name to "Lumens" or something ! :P

Maybe you could run a LED lighting course?

Actually, rather than having one in the door sil itself, why not have one up under the foot well so there's sufficient illumation to see getting into the car seating area with the standard door light providing minimal coverage outside the car itself.

Only issue would be getting door/dimmer lighting down around the footwell. hmmmmm, something to think about there. . . . . .

That's something I've been thinking about for a while.
It's actually already down there somewhere. The auto dimming when you close the doors is controlled by the BIU ("Body Integrated Unit"), on a Black/Red wire going through connector B228 pin 11. (and pin 3 on B280, the BIU itself. Pin 7 of B280 is the ideal place to draw power from.)

Dude, you guys already have Hanabi and fake-Hanabi! Stop trying to grab everything you greedy wagon owners! :D

But those taillights aren't all half bad. I think Leo was working on such a project a while back.

yep - couple of options for the wagons, but none of the really appeal to me. Hanabi's (& the knock offs) are OK, Secrete's (or however you spell it) I loved but don't make em any more , and there's another in Jap that I saw but still not 100% on them. I like those ones on the sedan above due to the lighting style.

EDIT - bugger off Jim! LOL  You are no different to me - we are perfectionists! If it's not quite right, we don't do it, so the more options the better I say!
