I think that it is time to get the Lib tinted. Can anyone make a recommendation on where to get it done in Sydney.

Cheers

Each time I look at tints and I see one that really stands out it always has a Solartint sticker on it.

http://www.solartint.com.au/

If I ever get tints it will be from them.

Just got my STi wagon done yersterday by a Solartint mobile guy.

Only needed the front windows & sunroof - megga black to match the privacy tint they now come with.

Cost $130 - probably not the cheapest I could get but certainly the darkest

Fish_boy79 - no idea sorry mate!

It's darker than standard tint and a high UV rating but didn't write down the specks. Sorry.
The guy installing also does factories & houses so it's a commercial grade.

Darker than the current Subaru 'privacy' tint that's for sure.

Tint pics

Here's some pic's.
Sorry done with the phone so they are not 100%.

Hard to see with all the reflection as well.

We tried a few samples and it's about as close as we could get to the tint already on the rear. Most noticable from a distance as the side looks the same now. Just looked funny without the front done.

Rob at Hunters Hill tinting is about $220, cheaper for groups, and will do any darkness.

I got my Gen III done by him around 12 months ago.

Had heard many recommendations before hand and just took it there because of the competitive prices and because he would do darker than legal.

I have to say though that I wasnt overly impressed with the results. Had to go back and have the rear windscreen and front passenger windows re-done..

It could have just been a one off bad experience, but just thought Id let you know anyway..
