There's been a lot of hacking going on there lately. I thought this was going to be a lot easier than this to sort things out but then you find what tables effect other tables and you end up going backwards at times. Other ECUs are incredibly simple by comparison none of this level of detail in relation to learning, knock control and failsafes. Even the previous non CAN ECU's seem a fair bit simpler plus the 2L motor has proper pistons albeit at the expense of low down torque. All Fun :P
When I get some more time I'll run the car with the later maps and then do another back to stock using the same settings day etc and get some prettier graphs

Everyone with a late model H6 is wating for the defintiaions to come out LOL.
All I could do for one owner the other day was reset their ECU to clear a fault.

ok. I heard something last week about Pulse having open source tuned a H6 really recently.

I still don't understand your previous posted picture. Can you give some description of what it is saying for me please?

They can do the older ones like other people probably.that's about it. Theres an option to build your own definition by using the valid definitions off a similar vintage overseas model . Its pretty risky though. you could really stuff things up if there was a difference. I wouldn't do it unless I had a spare ECU ready to go.

That picture above shows the state of the fuel trims and knock counts stored in RAM within the ECU. Basically you want no knock and the fueling percentages close to 0, +-5% although some say +-10% with ethanol blends - like we have here.

I get no new post notification off these forums and I've tripple checked everything. sux ar$e :(

Oh and if you IAM is less than 1 i.e 0.1,0.2 etc then you have serious issues somewhere

Heres a GTI that I've spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long on. We are still working out the tuning prog. I have to get that timing up and the boost down.It nice and safe though and would kick a stock STI's arse :P .
I should have grabbed a torque plot

Liberty is going back on the dyno Monday. In 'revision J' I've added a couple more degrees of timing in to my timing advance tables plus I'm winding the peak boost up top down a little for safety's sake. Its much better though because I've now also added alot more boost down low rather than just a peak up top. With the stock exhaust I can still do the low end no dramas. No knock over the last week or so which means things are still all fine and dandy. If I had a decent Zorst I'd be able to play with the top end a bit but alas no  .

Those plots from the GTi look good, but was shocked to see the lowering of AFR into the 10s! once you sort that out, it should be an aboslute rocket! :)

Are you sure you don't want to do any remote tuning ;)

That GTI you have to remember is doing a full load power run, you could lean it out a little down low actually everywhere but I want to sort out timing first. I counted 46 tables that had to be changed !!!. For timing alone there are 16 tables and there's no easy descriptions like in romraider. Determining when it changes tables is the tricky part I've only be caught out like 20 times now Doh !!!

I would hate to blow someones car up remotely. :P Maybe I could log in under an alias......I'd feel uneasy if I didn't have a car in front of me for a few days to sort it out slowly and properly. For me anyway, early days.

It'd be easy to calculate one except the wheel and engine speeds don't correlate there - the wheel speed scale is a constant but the engine speed scale is all over the place.

Here is a plot of tractive effort (a ratio of power and wheel speed). I think this might be the sort of line you are looking to show anyway.

easily explained. It the dyno roller speed. if you do a few checks you'll see that it works out at something like 42~43 rpm per kmhr :P
The RPM data though is via ODBII comms

I'll grab a tractive effort plot :D .I'm in the bloody thing now doing another flash

20rpm difference between 140 and 150km/h? Just jokes mate. Though I reckon if you are going to have similar wheel/engine speed inconsistencies on a run, showing wheel speed only would be best to eliminate confusion for people reading the charts.

I know theres something weird up top I think it just seems to compress the last bit for some reason but not the OBDII data if that makes sense. Hmm I'll have a look at the numerical data to see if its the same there. In fairness It is Beta software on the dyno and theres still a few niggling things that need sorting. The rest of it is linear...pretty much. I can't blame the transmission either as its a manual.
