Dixcel Heat Treated & Slotted Rotors for Brembos

Postby GTSPECB STI » Wed Jul 01, 2009 11:27 am

Newest mod went on yesterday but no pictures yet as the rain has not stopped all week. Was going to get just the standard slotted version but Troy at Prospeed made me a deal I couldn't pass up. Will provide some feedback on these once they are bedded properly.

Nice one Dave! I thought about these but was afraid of any noise increase that might come with it.

Jim trust me it is a big noise improvement now. Stock rotors learned to hate the dixcel pads but it took 4 months before I experienced it.

Shesus Trieu, you're not looking at the Dixcel rotors now are ya after all the slotted / drilled decision you went through?? Haha! Kidding mate.

LOL!! Nah man, next rotors will definitely be slotted :)

Having had the crossed drilled on the track, it wasn't good running OEM pads thats for sure. However next time will be Type Z's :) I'll post up after the experience.

But yeah, two piece rotor's are on my wish lists.

Thats why you have insurance boys. Wouldn't mind a new set of rims but since I only have 10 months or less with this car I doubt it will happen.

Nice rotors, how are these with the Type M pads? Not chewing them up like they do to the stock rotors I assume?

Anyone know how these are compared to DBA4000's?

May be looking to get myself a set of new rotors soon too.
