Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

hi guys,
i need some advice,i have a MY06 liberty STI sedan,i was looking at doing a few mods, like addind a new exhaust while keeping the quad tips, and a booster thingy megiggy ive been told these 2 things will make a big differance to the car.as you can proberbly tell i dont know a lot about mods, but have a friend whos right into it.
my question is, would i be better to do it after warranty runs out or take the punt and do it anyway and deal will any problems later?

thanks in advance.

hehe... my answer will be biased.

if you want it done, nothing is going to stop you.
I can guarantee you will have a niggly, annoying, itchy feeling in your body, you won't be able to concentrate on anything., but maybe thats just me...

Re warranty it relates to the part that you modded and what effect is has on a "faulty item" then it won't be covered.

Hi Libsti,

I have the same car in a wagon and have changed the TMIC and added a CAI also (thanks Phat) . I am currently now looking at changing the exhaust also. I know Hi tech will do a custom exhaust for you so you can keep the sti pipes at the back. I was looking to replace the whole exhaust and just keep the standard exhaust either to sell or put back on the car if i sold it.

Its worth doing the mod's!! Only worry about warranty when you toast the engine! Then change it back to standard and say "ï don't know what happened??"

cheers,
Rob

warranty...... pfft.

yeah you might have a few issues with warranty with mods, but shouldn't be too bad. subaru once tried to blame my aftermarket intercooler for faulty injectors but after a complaint to subaru they fixed it up straight away.

as for my honest opinion about mods, if you can afford the mod virus then DO IT but be prepared!
