testing out the new attachment feature.. heres the car on the lowest coilover setting without touching the spring rate

i dont understand how your not on bumpstops in the rear, on my 04 i had it a tad higher in the rear and sat on the bump stops so had to trim them...

ok... to clarify, I mean the car needs to "look" or "appear" balanced! As in the gap to the guards should be the same IMO...

well theres a catch 22 with that.. if i made the gap between the guards even then the ground clearance would be uneven..

with the top of the rear wheel arch being 15-20mm or so lower than the front arch you cant get an even clearance from tyre to guard front and rear unless the front or rear sits higher than the other giving a raked look to the front or rear

if you want to check how flat the car sits on the road find a level piece of road or whatever and measure from the top of the side skirts front and rear to the ground which will give you a good idea of how level the car sits

Adam i would be cutting at least half of those rear bump stops that mount to the rear rails so that the car dont bounce all over the place as the upper rear arm slams into them

exactly the path i took.. i prefer the car to be level from the ground to front and rear side skirts

i have noticed the car to be a tad bouncy when hitting those bigger road bumps.. so if cut a bit of the bump stops it will help eliminate that? (whos got some scissors )

you'll need something like a hand saw, and yes, it'll likely reduce the amount of bottoming out you experience

handsaw would be easiest, but i used a serated kitchen knife.. backyard mechanic for the win! haha worked well, i took 2/3 off of mine and havent had any ill effects.

Use a hack saw and use a brand new blade is best to cut them. Make sure you put them in a vice when you do it though.

well i jacked up the rear, took the wheel off and if your sitting on the ground looking into the wheel arch the bumpstops sit behind the rotor/strut assembly, looks like a black strawberry.. mmmmmm

i cut mine while still on the car and all, if your car is still as low as in the pic (and i hope it is... ) then it should make it a much nicer ride.

when my car was sitting as low as it is in the pic, it was resting on the bumpstops, so i had to trim them..

My self and a fellow member had a crack at it last night, Easy we got the back ones in no problem.......front left was simple then we came to the right side.. ONE FU**** BOLT WOULD NOT UNDO.... we tried for about 3 hours on this one bolt but it finally beat us so i have left the rears in and put the stock struts in the font until i can get it to a garage next week... if anyone has any ideas shoot. we tried endless amounts of breaker bars crc wd-40 everything..
