AVO Turbo Inlet Tube

Got a good deal from a local vendor on this item and picked it up yesterday. Goes in next week and I will provide some feedback once I have some.

Are you running a panel or pod filter? Really interested to see what you think about any additional noise after the install as I'm considering one of these.

Thanks,

Gordon

HKS panel filter, resonator removed, zero sports maf tube, avo tmic, throttle body silicon bit, 3" phat dump and centre to hitech quads. I doubt I will hear any noticable increase in sound by adding this tube.

We need to have another section for people like you who post their 'newly arrived deliveries' but the mod has yet to be on the car yet.

Hi GTSPECB

The inlet pipe you have is for the MY03-05 GT. Will still fit MY07+ lib but requires a t-piece and cutting of your engine cover.

The correct inlet pipe for MY07+ is S1B07G41ABLU

I got the same pipe as yours originally and had to exchange it when I worked out what was going on.

Nope its for an MY07 and this has been confirmed with Steve from AVO. Engine cover doesn't even sit on my car as I have the larger AVO TMIC already.

I have never bought anything from AVO that fit properly first time (and I've purchased a bit from them).

My mechanic says the same thing but he is very good at overcoming any minor fitment issues and he has seen AVO gear.

I should NOTE this is NOT a DIY for me!

Dave,
Fatfrog02 is correct, the pipe in the pic is missing a nozzel and the first nozzel (air filter side) will need a notch cut out of the engine cover.

The engine cover can still be used with the avo tmic and i thinks its a good idea to use it as it directs air ontho the intercooler from the scoop. It will taking a bit of trimming but i got mine to fit reasonably well.

I am aware of the slight mod required and as I previously stated my mechanic is doing this install. They have seen the part and my car as they did my tmic install previously. Thanks for the heads up just the same.
