will need to drain clutch fluid
detach clutch line from the existing resi
detach the resi from the firewall - 2 bolts
detach the resi clutch arm from the clutch pedal
push through the new remote resi clutch arm
attach that new arm to the clutch pedal
reattach the clutch line to the new resi
bolt the new resi to the firewall
secure the remove resi canister
fill clutch fluid and bleed (hard, especially with the tt intercooler set up but your going to remove it anyway).
fit new intercooler
big smile at more consistent intake temps

the remote canister resi should only cost $60-100 depending on the mood of your wrecker.

trying to find a pic. I have more at home I think from the install too...

but for now this pic shows the remote resi canister and you can just see its mounting bracket.

Just a quick question guys, what are the TMIC options?
Ozliberty had a thread, but the forum is horridly buggy.

So far the only decent ones iv found are
http://www.avoturbo.com/avoshop/product ... cts_id=196
and
http://www.hyperflow.com.au/index.php?w ... hytm-libb4

Anybody know if a STI TMIC will fit, or will I have the same clutch cylinder issue?

GDA or GDB? the GD chassis went from 01-07
Id be interested in sticking a STI cooler on, would probably work out cheaper than a hyperflow or AVO one (even with the clutch mods)

I had a cooler from an 04 STi and had the same problem.. went back to stock and sold the cooler.

it's not worth all the effort for the extrememly minimal gains.

Get a direct bolt-on cooler from AVO / Hyperflow instead.

Just trying to do a price comparison, hard to find liberty stuff.

it's all the same.

any dual-entry TMIC to suit WRX's from 1998 onwards will work (fitting in the bay may be different)
you just bolt on the Alloy elbows from the B4 TMIC and you're away
although you need to match one the the BOV you want to use

the one i pictured is to suit a MY98 WRX with universal fit BOV

cooling pro is usually found on e-bay

thread revival!

is it worth upgrading from the stock TMIC? on the hyperflow website its 1.2k, would they be better than a wrx TMIC? im tempted...

My thoughts, however I'm no expert, would be unless you are doing a CAI, exhaust and a retune at the same time you are not going to notice big gains. I bought mine with all that pre-done and she's got quite a bit more kick than a bog standard.
