Blitzen Rear Bumper

Postby YamYam » Sat Jun 06, 2009 12:52 pm

I am on the hunt for a Blitzen Rear Bumper Bar for my BP5 wagon, if anyone can point me in the right direction for a new or used, or where to purchase I would appreciate it. I have been in touch with ''The Man'' regarding an import but thought I would also throw it out in cyberspace to see if anyone else can oblige.

I am sure Phat's Quads would look rather nice hanging out the back of this bar.

Cheers

Hmmm im not too sure about the quads + the curvature of the bottom of that bar, looks to have been designed specifically to house oval mufflers.. I'm doubtful of a flushed finished look!

I do agree with you mate but nothing a bit of filing won't sort out

Oh believe me Gumbyy when I have finished with the shaping for Phat's tips to sit in there they will look like ''the dog's danglies'' mate.

So 50 views and no one with any idea of where to find one of these bad boys.

I don't suppose JapanParts has them? It's a pity Subaru Australia only brought over the sedan version.

And there's nothing that can't be cut or molded to fit the quad tips. :P

LOL! Didn't notice that, sorry! :D Figured Phil (YamYam) would have been able to get in touch with whoever that wagon owner for the information.

Otherwise if Subaru did bring over a few wagons, Subaru should be able to get the rear bumper for them. :P

First thing I did was get in touch with the seller Jim, so far no reply.

I drew a blank on Japanparts and haven't, as yet, heard back from ''The Man''

I will speak to Subaru tomorrow to see if they can supply.

This will certainly be taking a back seat! Just shy of $3000 for a new one, unpainted.

Thank f*ck I was sitting down when the quotes came through.

Thanks to the guys for the quotes, but will have to start looking for a used one....... if I don't find that needle in the haystack first :)

Try sending an email to yuki@japanparts.com
He always replies quickly and is a pretty nice guy too.
Give him this list of part numbers and tell him its for an 06 Blitzen wagon;
SC577AG550NN
SC577AG720
SC577AG730
SC577AG560
SC577AG570
SC577AG840
SC577AG850
SC577AG860VW
SC577AG870VW
That is all the parts you should need for the bar, with grilles, molds etc.
You should be able to re-use your existing brackets, clips etc. If not they are fairly cheap and can get them here.

Also, tell Yuki that you are a member of NASIOC (which is an Impreza forum in the US) and you get 10% off purchases.
