Gidday, been logged into another local board for a short while but seems they dont talk too much about Newer Libs there.

A bit over a year ago I purchased an MY07 Outback 3.0R Premium.
Lovely car, paddle shift was nice but a bit gimmicky in that style of car... anyways... I found a big problem when I took it to a local Subaru Dealer for service. I fell in love with a brandnew MY08 GT spec B tuned by STi 6 spd Wagon. I walked away from it once, but then when I went back a few weeks later with sunroof dramas in the Outback, I just couldnt leave it anymore. That was back in February, and 3 months and 2100km later still over the moon with it.

Good to find more newer model Libs around on the Net.

Hey Craig.

Welcome 'home'!

This forum rocks compared to others. Plenty of knowledge, banter and great ideas and prices on mods! Oh, and the members are 'special'! haha!

Another welcome for Team Wagon!!

One questions remains... Color?

Enjoy!

Welcome Craig! Yeah, a lot of GenIV's here, which makes it easier to exchange information. Are you planning to mod your STi? If not, let's see how long it lasts! :P

Glad you found us Craig and pleased to see another WA owner joining us. You will find this a very helpful place and the members mostly mod crazy. The forum is free but the mods we push you towards will not be :D
Congrats on the new ride as they are awesome cars. What colour is it and what mods have you done so far?

Stock so far except K&N panel filter that was also in my 3.0R Outback, ive owned V8's in the past, so my biggest gripe with the Lib is running out of puff realitively early... but learning the right shift points has lessened my concern compared to a tuned v8 which just keeps pulling untill you hit limiter.

I know that basically if i modded the exhaust I wanna try keep the STi mufflers, so probably looking more at the dump pipe and centre section, possibly cold air intake and then a tune, but Im just happy to be driving a brand new car for now. MY big thumbs up for this car are the brakes... first car ive owned that has the whoa to match the go.... something Holden needs to address on the SS.

I think Ive said "Im going to keep this car stock" to nearly every car ive owned, including the v8, but im old enough now to know that within 12-18months things will change.

good stuff Craig, team black is always a winner. The stock sti quad muffs are average at best and create plenty of back pressure in their own right. I did the dump pipe and centre pipe first and kept the sti quads. Big mistake as they sound like crap once you do the other pipes and intake mods.

edit: if you want to fix the cars performance without bolting on mods then go see Sean at Allstar Garage in Malaga and get him to do a Verso flash tune. This will dramatically improve its performance. Will cost you around $1000 but worth every cent. These guys are Suby specialists.

Welcome to the forum thirsty! Good to see more WA members joining and I think I'm in love with your wagon...just don't tell my girlfriend.

I also kept saying that I wanted my lib pretty stock, but after a couple of weeks on here my list of wanted items started to grow.

Iz black man, black! Yeehhaaa - another black wagon! Well done, great car, great potential... Trust me, coming from a full history of V8's, it takes a little bit of getting used to, but once learned, they are awesome.
